Leave of Absence

We recognise that there are a wide variety of reasons for which staff may unavoidably require time off from work. This might include time off on compassionate grounds, for jury service or for other family, personal, religious and professional reasons.

It is expected that staff arrange their holidays during school closure periods and that other absences (other than those which are unexpected) will be arranged to cause the least inconvenience. The taking of unauthorised leave of absence is automatically unpaid and may lead to disciplinary action. In such circumstances, you should contact their HR Business Partner. Further information on unauthorised absence can also be found in the Absence & Leave section.
